Terms of Service

These terms govern access to the Motif website, checkout, license activation service, installer, and desktop application. By purchasing, installing, or using Motif, you agree to these terms.

License

Motif grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Motif for audio production workflows, subject to license activation, device limits, and these terms.

DAW Automation and Session Changes

Motif can automate supported digital audio workstations, bridge scripts, control surfaces, helper plugins, and local files. You are responsible for saving backups before using automation features. When instructed by you, Motif may create, edit, move, delete, or overwrite DAW session content.

Local DAW Integration Files

During installation, repair, updates, or selected DAW setup, Motif may add, copy, update, or remove local integration files in supported DAW user folders and standard application data folders. For Studio One and Fender Studio Pro, Motif may bind the AIBridge Poll command to Ctrl+Shift+W and may create a backup before changing an existing key scheme file.

License Activation and User API Keys

Motif release builds require a valid Motif license key for paid runtime features. Motif does not include a shared Groq API key. You may provide your own Groq API key during installation or later in the application.

Payments and Refunds

Motif checkout is processed by Stripe. Unless a separate written refund policy applies, purchases are treated as final once a license is delivered and activated. Required taxes may be included in the displayed price or handled by Stripe according to checkout settings.

Third-Party Services and Software

Ableton Live, Studio One, Fender Studio Pro, FL Studio, REAPER, Pro Tools, Groq, Stripe, and other names belong to their respective owners. Motif is not endorsed by those vendors unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. You are responsible for maintaining valid licenses for your DAWs, plugins, sample libraries, and third-party services.

Restrictions

You may not bypass, disable, tamper with, reverse engineer, redistribute, or share Motif license enforcement mechanisms except where applicable law expressly permits.

No Warranty

Motif is provided as-is for audio production assistance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Motif disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for lost sessions, lost data, interrupted workflows, or third-party service failures.
