Which DAWs are supported today?
Ableton Live 12+ and Studio One / Studio Pro 7/8 are supported now. FL Studio, Pro Tools, and REAPER are next up.
Is this a subscription?
No. Motif is a $99 one-time desktop license.
Does Motif work on Windows and Mac?
Motif is Windows only for now.
What is Groq?
Groq is an AI inference provider that Motif uses for early-access AI responses, while DAW control runs locally. You can create your key here: console.groq.com/keys.
Do I need a Groq key?
Yes for AI-powered responses during early access. Your Groq key stays on your PC and is used for direct AI calls from your account. Actual cost depends on how often you use AI features.
Will there be local AI?
We are evaluating optional local inference for supported hardware.
How many machines does one license cover?
Motif currently uses single-workstation activation.
What do I need before installing?
You need a supported DAW on Windows, an internet connection for activation, and a Groq API key for AI-powered features.
